Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Coordinator to join our team at DTI, Inc., a dynamic freight brokerage. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for accurately processing and managing billing information, ensuring that freight services are billed in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external teams.

Compensation: $18 – $20 per hour
Key Responsibilities
• Invoice Processing: Prepare, review, and issue invoices to clients for freight services provided.
• Billing Reconciliation: Review and verify billing information, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies between service providers and clients.
• Customer Communication: Respond to client inquiries regarding billing issues, address disputes, and provide clarification on charges and fees.
• Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions and correspondence, ensuring all data is up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
• Data Entry: Input and update billing data into the company’s financial systems and databases.
• Reporting: Assist in generating billing reports and other financial reports as requested by management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team and accounting department to ensure smooth coordination and accurate billing.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal billing procedures and industry regulations.
• Other Duties: Perform other administrative duties as required to support the finance team and company operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- 1 – 2 years experience in billing, accounting, or a related administrative role; experience in the freight or logistics industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with accounting or billing software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP, or other) preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with both internal teams and external clients.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve billing discrepancies.
