Requirements for Owner Operators

To qualify for our owner operator jobs, we have a few essential requirements:

You must possess a valid CDL A license that complies with all DOT regulations.

A solid background in truck driving is crucial. We’re looking for drivers with at least a few years of experience, particularly those familiar with OTR (over the road) driving.

Your driving history must be clean, demonstrating a commitment to safety and professionalism.

You need to own your truck to qualify as an owner operator. If you don’t have a truck yet, our lease purchase options can help you transition into ownership.

Drivers must be at least 21 years of age to apply for our owner operator positions.

Routes and Equipment

Our owner operators have opportunities to work local primarily operating in and around St. Louis, including areas such as Belleville, Edwardsville, and Hazelwood. Or, if you prefer longer routes we operate heavily around the Midwest with an average length of haul being 500 miles. The variety of routes keeps your work dynamic and interesting. You’ll be pulling well-maintained trailers, ensuring that your tractor trailer can operate safely and efficiently.

Vehicle Specifications

As an owner operator, you need to have your own truck. Here are some recommended specifications:

  • Engine Size: Choose a truck with an engine that balances power and fuel efficiency, helping you maximize your earnings on the road.
  • Age of Truck: While we don’t have strict limitations, newer trucks generally provide better fuel efficiency and reliability.
